if you know someone that has a pretty good size house and backyard you can have the ceremony outside on the backyard and eat inside.

I dont know how helpful this is but I am getting married sept 16 in lawrence. The wedding will be outdoors in a park and the reception is at abe and jakes landing...they are really reasonably priced for a sunday and you dont have to cut the guest list. also as far as catering alot of bbq places can be very cheap. mine is $6/person. I hope some of this helps

Well, an option for a site would be a Masion Hall or an Elk's Lodge. They are usually about $500-$700 to rent for the whole day. We are having our reception at The Elk's Lodge in Grandview, MO. It's holds upto 300 people, they provide the tables and Chairs. They are also really resonable on their alcohol (should you want any) and they let you bring in your own caterer. By the way HyVee is a pretty cheap caterer. As for your ceremony, you could try a few different parks. They are usually pretty cheap too. You could try the Loose Park Rose Garden (once again where I am getting married) I only paid $500 for four hours. You can also pay $250 for two hours. There is also an Overland park Arboretium (spelling sorry), just do a search on the web and find their site. I think they are somewhat reasonable. I hope some of this info helps you. Good Luck :)

I am very interested in any information/help you could give me. I have actually been trying to think of any do it yourself projects, to help save money. Let me know what you recommend. Also do you know of any cites that are nice, reasonable, to have ceremony or reception at?

my wedding is Sept. 28 of 07. And for 10,000 and only 75 guests that should be a beautiful wedding. My budget started as that, then I have decided to use the money for a downpayment on a house, and would like to drastically drop the budget to afew thousand now! I was planning on having about 200 quests, (when my budget was 10K, so now I am changing many things to accomodate my decision. I have dj and photographer, and most flowers picked out already, really really looking for a nice, reasonably priced, site to have the ceremony and reception. Any ideas? Well good luck.

Missy, I could help you with your menu & cake, flowers, If you could get your family to pitch in & do the work you can have a very nice wedding for a lot less than you think.

What is your budget? I am trying to plan a small and not over spend as well. How many guests are you planning on having? We are having about 75 or less guests. And our budget is 10,000. First thing is that you have to set a budget. Then most important thing to ask yourself is what is the most or what are the most important part of your wedding? Is it the photographer, food, flowers, reception venue, or ceremony venue? And from there you can see what you want to spend more on. Please let me know if I kinda helped you. I am in the process of planning my wedding and trying not to over spend. When is your wedding?
